Hungama Play has launched its latest Hindi original anthology – ‘Hasratein’. The series feature eminent actors likes Monalisa, Adaa Khan, Krishna Mukherjee, Ravi Bhatia, Vin Rana, Shilpa Tulaskar, Sana Sayyad, Siddharth Sharma, Ayush Anand, and Sahil Uppal. The show traces the stories of five women in different age groups who are on the quest of seeking equality in a patriarchal society and act without being unapologetic of their desires. The act of physical intimacy between a man and a woman consists of an equal show of love from each other; however, the man’s expression of love is perceived as something more natural in comparison to a woman. While a man's desire sends out the message of masculinity and is deemed as his right, a woman's expression of pleasure and her need for love is frequently looked down upon or criticized. ‘Is female pleasure the last real taboo in our society?’ is a question to be pondered upon.
